Bridging the digital divide - digital services in legal migration procedures for accessibility and inclusion (2026)

Drawing on contributions from 25 EMN Member and Observer Countries, the inform examines how digital services can enhance accessibility for applicants with disabilities and for those who are digitally disadvantaged. It compares approaches to the design and delivery of digital services in legal migration procedures and highlights common challenges and good practices.

Separated Migrant Children (2026)

Published: February 2026

The Summary focuses on children who arrive in the EU accompanied by adults other than their parents or legal guardians,and describes how Member States currently respond to the specific protection needs of these children in the context of asylum procedures. This category differs from unaccompanied minors, because the presence of an accompanying adult has implications for reception, procedural guarantees and assistance.
